Philippine mussels?
The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences of the University of the Philippines Visayas, through the support of Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (PCAARRD-DOST), will be holding the 1st Philippine Mussel Congress at the Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City on October 25, 2018 with the theme “Bigger and Safer Mussels for Every Juan.” The congress will convene private and government sectors, non-government organizations (NGOs), research institutions, academe, and other mussel stakeholders from all over the country to discuss issues concerning the industry and to share updates on improving competitiveness of mussels in the market.
Conference Objectives
1) Disseminate the results/findings of the various researches which addressed the mussel industry strategic plans under the PCAARRD-DOST’s National Mussel Science and Technology Program and other research initiatives.
2) Showcase the different mussel products and technologies.
3) Provide updates on the present status of the mussel industry
